The above reflects our standard out-of-pocket rates for self-pay clients. Please note: rates may vary depending on the specific clinician you work with, as well as your individual insurance plan and its benefits.
If you are using insurance, your actual cost may differ significantly based on your plan's coverage, copay, deductible, and coinsurance. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider or reach out to our admin team to get a clearer picture of your expected costs before your first session.

Please note: Insurance acceptance varies by clinician. Not every therapist on our team accepts every plan. Accepted Anthem Blue Cross plans are commercial plans only — Medicaid-based Anthem plans are not currently accepted.
We strongly recommend verifying coverage directly with your insurance provider and confirming with your therapist before your first appointment. You can also reach out to us at admin @ mindfulpathpsychology.com and we will help clarify your benefits.
If your insurance is not listed, you may still be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement — see the section below for more details.
Many insurance plans include out-of-network (OON) benefits, which can help cover a portion of therapy costs even when your therapist is not in your plan's network. Here's how it generally works:
1 Deductible: You'll likely have an out-of-network deductible — a set amount you must pay out-of-pocket before your insurance begins to share costs. This resets each plan year.
2 Coinsurance: Once your deductible is met, your plan typically covers a percentage of the session fee (e.g., 60–80%), and you pay the remaining balance.
3 Superbills & Claims: We will work with your insurance to submit out-of-network claims on your behalf whenever possible, helping to reduce the amount you pay upfront for sessions.
We are committed to making therapy accessible. Our team will do its best to assist with the claims process and help you maximize your out-of-network reimbursement. Contact us at admin @ mindfulpathpsychology.com to discuss your specific plan.
We recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card and asking: "Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits, and what is my deductible and coinsurance rate?"
We offer several convenient ways to request an appointment or connect with a therapist:
1 Book through Headway: Many of our therapists are available on the Headway platform, where you can browse profiles, check availability, and schedule a session directly online.
2 Contact a Therapist Directly: Visit any therapist's Bio Page on our website to learn more about their approach, specialty areas, and availability — and reach out to them directly from there.
3Send an Inquiry to Admin: You're always welcome to email our administrative team at admin @ mindfulpathpsychology.com. We'll help match you with the right therapist and walk you through the next steps.

Once you've scheduled your first appointment, here's what to expect before you arrive:
1 Portal Invitation: You'll receive an invitation to our secure online client portal, where you can complete all intake paperwork at your own pace — no need to show up early and fill out forms in a waiting room.
2 Brief Paperwork: The intake forms include your insurance information, a background history of the concerns or challenges that brought you to therapy, and standard consent and privacy documents.
3 Free Consultation (Optional): Before committing to a full session, you're welcome to request a complimentary 15-minute phone or Zoom consultation with a therapist. This gives you a chance to ask questions, share what you're looking for, and get a sense of whether we're a good fit — with no pressure or obligation.

Your initial session is all about connection, curiosity, and collaboration. There is no agenda to rush through — this is your space.
Together with your therapist, you'll explore the challenges and emotional difficulties you're facing, and begin to discover how you want to work together. The primary focus of this first meeting is on building a genuine connection and sense of rapport — because the foundation of meaningful therapeutic work is a relationship built on trust and openness.
You are encouraged to ask questions, share what feels comfortable, and talk openly about what you hope to get from therapy. Your therapist will also help you begin to outline a plan for how you want to move forward with treatment — one that reflects your goals, your pace, and your unique needs.
There are no wrong answers and no pressure to have everything figured out before you arrive. Simply showing up is a meaningful first step.
By the end of your first session, you should have a clearer sense of the therapeutic direction ahead, and feel heard, respected, and ready to continue the journey.
